Enlightenment is a Desktop Environment and Window Manager for Linux and other Unix-like operating systems, such as BSD derivatives.[1]. Originally created by Carsten Haitzler in the late 90s with the philosophy "that users should be given as much control as possible."[2]
Features
Enlightenment has many key features as a graphical desktop including its own set of graphical and system libraries known as the "Enlightenment Foundation Libraries". Designed to be portable and efficient while also being easy to use on various devices including touch devices even being used in Samsung devices.[1]
