Ubtunu, is a Linux distribution derived from Debian and is developed by Canonical for the commercial market and the first version of RHEL was released on the October 20, 2004. Canonical profits from this distribution by providing 24/7 technical support to business costumers and extended long-term support for Ubuntu.[1]
An interim release of Ubuntu is published every six months, with long-term support releases every two years. Canonical provides security updates and support for each release until the release reaches its end-of-life date. The LTS versions recieve 5 years of free updates or up to 10 years with Ubuntu Pro. The interim releases of Ubtuntu recieve 9 months of support.[2]
