Introduction
Linux is a good way to make-do with an old Intel Mac you may have. Many issues exist due to hardware support, such as WiFi support, and keyboard + trackpad issues on some devices. This page will list solutions to common issues as well as tips, tricks, and other information. On many Mac devices Linux works flawlessly after initial setup and troubleshooting is complete. If you are attempting to install Linux on a device with an ARM (Apple Silicon) CPU, see the #Asahi Linux section.
