Ricing is the process of customizing and fine-tuning your desktop environment or window manager to achieve a highly personalized look and feel. The term originated from the concept of making aesthetic and functional improvements to a system's interface, similar to the act of modifying cars. Generally ricing focuses on visual customization, although, performance tweaks can be a part of the process.
