Standards
We expect a high standard of our editors so we require the following for all pages unless exemption has been given by an Admin:
- Accuracy: Ensure information is accurate and up to date, this can be done by ensuring you are using the offical sources for information. Always cite when required (E.g: Quotations, benchmarks, release dates), a good guide is the Wikipedia Citing Sources Guide.
- Impartiality: Pages should be unbiased, if there has been a controversy on a specific topic make a section on the page regarding it and ensure that you remain unbiased at all times to ensure the reader only is given the facts. E.g: Instead of saying "xyz package is bad," say "xyz package has received criticism for...".
- Consistancy: Ensure that your page is consistant with others in both the formatting and the terminology, e.g. for the x86-64/AMD64/x64 architecture it should always be reffered to by AMD64 as it is its offical name. Further details on this can be seen in the Contributing#Formatting section.
