Welcome to atl.wiki's Privacy Policy. This document outlines how personal information is collected, used, and protected when you use atl.wiki. By accessing or contributing to atl.wiki, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.

Information atl.wiki Collects

When you edit any article or page on atl.wiki, you are creating a permanent, public record of any change, addition, removal made by you. Public records will show the time and username authoring the edits.

To contribute to atl.wiki, you are required to create an account. When registering, atl.wiki collects:

  • A Username
  • [Optionally] Your Email Address

Other information such as your pronouns, Discord ID and full name may be optionally provided to us via your user preferences or our Discord linking service.

When a user is logged in atl.wiki uses essential cookies to maintain your login session and preferences. These cookies are required for the site to function and not shared nor used across other sites. Upon visiting the wiki the web-server will automatically log your IP Address and your User Agent, this information helps identify technical issues and ensure compatibility across devices. The web-server logs are automatically cleared regularly.

The IP address of an editor will also be logged by Mediawiki when an edit has been made for anti-vandalism efforts. The logged IP is only available to administrators and will only be used for the purpose of blocking or sanctioning malicious users.

The logging is provided by the Check User Extension.

Services atl.wiki Uses

atl.wiki uses a self-hosted instance of Umami Analytics to collect anonymous data about how visitors interact with our website. Umami collects: Page views, referring website and user agents. Umami does not collect personal data or use cookies, this data allows us to improve our site’s performance and user experience.

atl.wiki also uses Cloudflare to enhance website security and performance. Cloudflare may process certain technical information, such as IP addresses and user agents, to provide services like content delivery, DDoS protection, and caching. Cloudflare also makes use of cookies of cookies to manage bot protection and verify access. These cookies are required for site security and functionality, these cookies are not shared nor used across other sites.

How atl.wiki uses your Information

atl.wiki does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties.

atl.wiki will only share your personal information to comply with a valid and legally enforceable warrant, subpoena, court order, law or regulation in the countries where atl.wiki is present. atl.wiki will never provide your information to third parties without your explicit consent.

atl.wiki use your data to do the following:

  • To send administrative notices via email.
  • For the ability to reset your account password via email.
  • To moderate and combat vandalism & spam on the wiki.
  • To correctly attribute contributions on the wiki to users.
  • To monitor and analyse the usage of our services and identify technical issues.

atl.wiki uses a variety of measures and policies, to protect your data from unauthorized use or access. Please be aware that no method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure, so atl.wiki cannot guarantee that our security will not be breached. In the event of a data breach, atl.wiki will promptly inform any affected users either through private communications or a public notice, as well as any relevant authorities.

In order to comply with GDPR erasure requests and the licensing of content, atl.wiki has implemented a process to remove all your data from atl.wiki. Your account name will be anonymised and your edits will be reattributed to the anonymised username. You will be asked to remove your email and other personal information provided to us via your user preferences. Once this process has been completed your account will be "vanished", which removes it from public logs, then your account will be blocked to prevent future logins.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

atl.wiki may change the Privacy Policy as needed to represent changes in our practises or legal requirements. atl.wiki will notify users of updates that impact them, and all revisions will be available on this page.
